Featured Game Review: Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit

Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is a charming and relaxing life-sim that takes everything appealing about the original Cozy Grove and expands it into a warmer, more polished adventure. After a bus crash leaves your Spirit Scout stranded on a mysterious island, you begin meeting ghostly bears, each with their own personalities, problems, and forgotten histories. Helping these spirits recover their memories provides the heart of the game, giving even simple tasks a sense of purpose beyond collecting resources or checking items off a list.
Much of the gameplay revolves around exploring the island, completing quests, gathering materials, crafting items, and gradually improving your campsite. The routine is deliberately relaxed rather than demanding, making Camp Spirit particularly well suited for short daily play sessions.
Decorating and customizing the camp is especially satisfying because the island becomes noticeably more colorful and lively as you make progress. There is always something small to accomplish, but the game rarely makes you feel pressured to rush through it.
Cozy Visuals
The visual presentation continues to be one of the series' biggest strengths. Camp Spirit has an illustrated, storybook-like style packed with strange creatures, expressive characters, and an impressive amount of environmental detail. The ghost bears are easily the stars, with designs that manage to be cute, funny, and occasionally surprisingly emotional. The game's supernatural setting could have been gloomy, but instead it creates a comfortable atmosphere where ghosts and mysteries feel inviting rather than threatening.
Where Camp Spirit may divide players is its intentionally slow progression. Many objectives are built around gradually developing relationships and returning to the island over time rather than completing everything in a few long sessions. Players who enjoy constantly advancing or tackling difficult challenges may find the pace repetitive, particularly when gathering resources or performing familiar errands. For anyone looking for a game to unwind with, however, that slower structure becomes part of its appeal rather than a drawback.
Bottom Line
Overall, Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is an easy game to recommend to fans of cozy life sims, decorating games, and character-driven adventures. It doesn't rely on complicated mechanics or high-stakes challenges to keep you interested; instead, its appeal comes from discovering new stories, improving your campsite, and getting to know the unusual spirits inhabiting the island.
It is a gentle, attractive, and often surprisingly heartfelt sequel that understands exactly what makes a cozy game enjoyable, making it a great choice for anyone who wants something they can return to regularly and enjoy at their own pace.
