From 100 quests, every single one is memorable
The sheer variety of quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a standout feature that elevates the entire experience. Rather than relying on mundane tasks like dispatching a few bandits or delivering packages, nearly every mission is infused with an unexpected twist, emotional depth, or a challenging decision. With around 100 quests on offer, each one feels like its own mini-adventure—an episode rich in quality writing and unique objectives that would shine even in a smaller RPG.
Even when some quests lean more toward brilliant ideas than perfect execution, they never become a chore. One chance encounter even morphs a standard swordfight into a brief, atmospheric horror segment. Spanning over 120 hours across two expansive, beautifully rendered maps that capture the essence of late medieval Bohemia, the side quests maintain a consistent level of engagement. Paired with a main storyline that unfolds like a sweeping war epic, every quest contributes to an experience that is as diverse as it is unforgettable.
The game looks like big-screen war movie
Deliverance 2 feels like a cinematic war epic. The Hungarian Camp—a late-game outpost of King Sigismund—serves as a perfect example. After an initial crushing defeat, the hero embarks on a montage of intense training, mastering swordplay, archery, and even forging a legendary sword. The return assault unfolds like a blockbuster showdown, a Rambo-style spectacle decimating enemy forces in a scene straight out of a movie. Though an abrupt shift to a stealth mission disrupts the flow, the overall presentation remains a breathtaking, film-like experience.
Bottom Line
Deliverance 2 picks up the reactive first-person RPG torch that Bethesda once carried, delivering a fresh take with combat that outshines even the peak moments of The Elder Scrolls. The game sometimes hesitates between being a cinematic hero’s tale and a dynamic open-world sandbox filled with intriguing side quests, leading to occasional conflicts that jar the immersion.
